Appointees

The board's seven members serve staggered six-year terms. One member represents Johnson County.


Responsibilities

The responsibilities for the Library Board of Trustees are outlined in the Code Book, Ch. 22, and include:
  • Recommend and review policies, rules, regulations, ordinances, and budgets relating to the Coralville Public Library
  • Direct and control all affairs of the library and its property
  • Make an annual report and financial estimate for the Council every year
