Summer 2020 Pool Information
Hours, capacity, rules, & extra precautions
Coralville Community Aquatic Center is open June 29-August 23, 2020, for recreational swimming with modifications to:
- Pool capacity and waiting lists
- New hours and Coralville resident-only early admission
- Reservations for summer camps and day care groups
- Extra precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19

When to stay home
Please stay home if you:
- Have a fever of 100.4F or higher in the past 72 hours
- Have any symptoms of illness, including unexplained cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, chills, unexplained fatigue or muscle aches, headache, runny or stuffy nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or other symptoms of illness
- Have COVID-19
- Have been exposed in the past 14 days to someone with COVID-19
About Coralville's Outdoor Aquatic Center
The Coralville Community Aquatic Center features:
- 11,000+ square feet of surface water
- 25 meter, L-shaped pool
- Diving boards

- Zero-depth entry
- On-deck shaded seating
- Full service concession stand

Daily Admission
The Aquatic Center accepts cash, credit, or debit. No checks. We are unable to accept cash bills $20 or larger.
Do I have to pay if I don't plan to swim?
Everyone age two and older who enters the pool area, regardless of intent to swim, must pay the daily admission fee or show a season pass.
Can I leave and return?
If you leave the pool area, you must re-pay the admission fee unless a brief departure is pre-approved by staff.

When We Close Early
The Coralville Community Aquatic Center closes early under the following conditions:
Weather
After an early closure, the Aquatic Center reopens as follows (weather permitting):
Weekdays
If we closed at 11:00 am, we'll try to reopen at 1:00 pm.
If we closed at 1:00 pm, we'll try to reopen at 4:30 pm.
If we closed at 4:30 pm, we'll remain closed for the rest of the day.
Weekends
If we closed at 12:00 pm, we'll try to reopen at 3:00 pm.
If we closed at 3:00 pm, we'll remain closed for the rest of the day.
The Coralville Community Aquatic Center closes early under the following conditions:
Weather
- Air temperature is less than 70 degrees
- Weather conditions are unfavorable (including thunder or lightning)
- There are weather warnings or storms
- If attendance is less than 25 people and the air temperature is below 70 degrees for 30 consecutive minutes, one hour notice is given prior to closing early.
- If attendance is 0 for one hour, the pool closes and follows the reopening policy.
- Mechanical breakdown, chemical imbalance, or any other situation for the safety of patrons.
After an early closure, the Aquatic Center reopens as follows (weather permitting):
Weekdays
If we closed at 11:00 am, we'll try to reopen at 1:00 pm.
If we closed at 1:00 pm, we'll try to reopen at 4:30 pm.
If we closed at 4:30 pm, we'll remain closed for the rest of the day.
Weekends
If we closed at 12:00 pm, we'll try to reopen at 3:00 pm.
If we closed at 3:00 pm, we'll remain closed for the rest of the day.

Coralville Resident-Only Early Admission
Daily 12:00-1:00 pm
*the air temperature must be above 70 degrees for the aquatic center to open.
**No re-admittance between sessions. The fee is paid for each session of swimming.
